NEWBURGH INDUSTRIAL
DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION
Go Gladys developed a new visual identity for the City of Newburgh Industrial Development Agency, drawing on the same design process behind The Foundry and Westchester Community College logo projects.

Like many economic development agencies, Newburgh IDA needed a visual identity that could represent the organization credibly to the businesses, investors, and government partners it works with daily, especially when competing with neighboring municipalities for the same development dollars. A logo alone wasn’t enough: the agency needed a usable system, color palette, typography, and file formats suited to everything from official documents to marketing materials, developed through a process that let stakeholders weigh in before a final identity was locked in.
THE CHALLENGE

THE GO GLADYS SOLUTION
Go Gladys began with a kickoff and moodboard meeting to align on visual direction, informed by competitive analysis of comparable economic development organizations across the region. From there, the team developed two to three original logo concepts for the agency’s consideration, presented and refined through at least two rounds of revisions on the selected direction. The final identity was delivered as vector files in full-color, single-color, and grayscale formats, paired with a secondary color palette for marketing materials, appropriate font files, and complete brand guidelines, giving Newburgh IDA a full, ready-to-use system rather than a single logo file.

THE RESULTS
The work built on Go Gladys’s track record with higher education, government, and not-for-profit branding work, including Rising Ground, ThinkDifferently, Think Dutchess, City of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, and Dutchess Outreach, among other relevant public-sector identity work.
This project adds to Go Gladys’s growing portfolio of public-sector identity work, alongside the City of Poughkeepsie and SUNY Westchester Community College, each shaped by the same discovery-driven creative process.
