Unifying a manufacturing company with different names in different markets to present a cohesive image worldwide
DESIGNING A UNIFIED BRAND IDENTITY FOR A GLOBAL INNOVATOR IN WATER TREATMENT
Stamford Scientific International came to Go Gladys with something of an identity crisis. They were known as Stamford Scientific in the USA and as SSI in much of the rest of the world. Neither name conveyed their business which is to design, build and provide aeration equipment and systems for solid waste and water treatment plants to global markets. We went through our proven logo design process and helped them decide on a new name: SSI Aeration, a bright new logo that communicates bubbles, which is what their equipment does, and a new tagline, “Smart ideas for water.”
CREATING A STATIONARY SYSTEM THAT DRAMATIZES A MANUFACTURING COMPANY’S BRAND
The vibrant new SSI Aeration logo has a unique energy and perfectly capture the company’s products and benefits. As part of our usual branding process we orchestrated it over stationery, business cards, and interior office signage. It was hard for the company to make this change but they ended up falling in love with their new image and happily used it everywhere, including on company t-shirts.
DESIGNING A RESPONSIVE WEBSITE THAT GIVES EACH DIFFERENT AUDIENCE A SPECIFIC JOURNEY
The end product of SSI Aeration is clean water. For their custom website we used moving and still visuals of water and bubbles throughout the site and for an industrial product it is both intriguing and refreshing. The different target audiences were highlighted: plant operators, contractors, consulting engineers, distribution representatives, industrial users, and OEM customers. Products and systems that are relevant to each target are presented in an exciting way and the content management system (CMS) is organized to make product updates and visual refreshes easily accomplished by in-house staff.
MAKING COMPELLING CONTENT UNDERSTANDABLE ON THE WEBSITE AND DOWNLOADABLE DOCUMENTS
At Go Gladys we love working with manufacturers and have extensive experience in creating content and product descriptions appropriate to the specific target audience. Working closely with the clients we achieved content that has worked effectively. We also created a design template for downloadable product information fact sheets that very much reflect the overall lightness of the design yet conveys the product features and benefits and technical superiority.
